Imagine if your dads favorite Japanese overdrive decided it was bored of its sheltered life, went to sub-Saharan Africa to “find itself” but got bit by a snake right on the switch, underwent several mental and physical transformations, flew into New Haven through Tweed Airport and NOT Bradley International, blew through every light on State Street (while stopping for pizza), and upon returning home, set ablaze the Ford Fairmont your dad is somehow still driving.

Thats the Boomslang. This reptilian rabble-rouser has more gain, a wider tone range, and 3 more clipping options than its Nagoya based cousin. The rotary clip control allows one to select from: stock silicon, asymmetrical silicon, LED, and NOTHING. The sweet NOTHING setting allows for more touch sensitive playing that would otherwise be impossible.

The Boomslang Overdrive MK1 is equipped with USA made Switchcraft jacks for reliable operation, and our tried and true click-less bypass system. This circuit allows for easy and silent effect switching, but also momentary operation for when you just need a little.

Handmade in New Haven, CT.

Common questions

My pedal isn't powering on — what should I check?

Make sure you're using a 9V DC center-negative power supply (standard for most effects). If the LED doesn't light, test another supply or cable.

Can I run it at higher voltage?

Yes — the Boomslang is rated 12V/18V safe.

Can it be always-on on my pedalboard?

Yes — Pedal Board Mode. Hold the footswitch while plugging in DC power; the LED flashes three times to confirm, and from then on the pedal engages automatically whenever it powers up. Repeat the process to disable it.

The effect sounds weak or noisy.

Check cables and power first. On a daisy chain, try isolating the pedal on a clean, regulated output. Placement in your signal chain also shapes the tone — try moving it earlier or later.

What's the warranty?

Limited lifetime coverage for defects in materials and workmanship. If service is ever needed, most repairs turn around in 7–10 business days.

Under the hood

Stacks with the Cyllarus

Run them together for better gain staging — Boomslang in front for a tighter, more focused push, or after the Cyllarus for extra saturation and sustain.

Four clipping personalities

A rotary clip control selects stock silicon, asymmetrical silicon, LED, or sweet NOTHING — for touch-sensitive playing that would otherwise be impossible.

Feed it more volts

Rated for 12V and 18V — more clean headroom across the board, and the NOTHING clip mode especially opens up.

From the bench

Every Dual Stage pedal gets built, tested and put through its paces on the same bench it was designed on — then backed by our limited lifetime warranty. If it ever quits on you, it comes home and we fix it.
