Two knobs and a footswitch. Level sets how much comes out. Era sets the voicing.

Era is a four-way switch that voices the circuit four different ways. From left to right:

  1. Setting 1: the lowest gain, closest to an Echoplex EP-3.
  2. Setting 2: a little more gain and brighter, closest to an Echoplex EP-4.
  3. Setting 3: our personal favorite, a JFET boost that's more aggressive than setting 2 but still well balanced.
  4. Setting 4: the same boost as setting 3, but full range. Best for thin-sounding guitars.

Handmade in New Haven, CT.

Echoplex is a trademark of Dunlop Manufacturing, Inc. Dual Stage Amplification is not affiliated with or endorsed by Dunlop Manufacturing, Inc.

Under the hood

Two knobs on purpose

Level and Era. Set the output, pick the voicing, and get back to playing.

Four voices, one switch

Era steps from an Echoplex EP-3 style boost, to a brighter EP-4 voicing, to a balanced JFET boost, to that same boost in full range for thin guitars.

Click-less switching

USA-made Switchcraft jacks and our tried and true click-less bypass, with momentary operation (set by an internal DIP switch) for when you just need a little.

From the bench

Every Dual Stage pedal gets built, tested and put through its paces on the same bench it was designed on — then backed by our limited lifetime warranty. If it ever quits on you, it comes home and we fix it.
