This tremolo is a recreation of a no longer produced boutique favorite, and a favorite it was for good reason. The UNLUCKY Tremolo comes packed with the standard speed and depth controls to tailor the LFO and tremolo strength, as well as a tone control AND boost. The tone control is a master tone that allows the UNLUCKY Tremolo to vary between dark swampy sounds to shimmering above the mix. The boost control is dual purpose: as a compensatory measure since tremolos can sound like they drop volume a little bit when in use, but also can be used as an amplifier boost if the depth and speed are turned to zero!

The UNLUCKY Tremolo MK1 is equipped with USA made Switchcraft jacks for reliable operation, and our tried and true click-less bypass system. This circuit allows for easy and silent effect switching, but also momentary operation for when you just need a little.

Handmade in New Haven, CT.

Common questions

My pedal isn't powering on — what should I check?

Make sure you're using a 9V DC center-negative power supply (standard for most effects). If the LED doesn't light, test another supply or cable.

Can I run it at higher voltage?

Yes — the UNLUCKY Tremolo is rated 12V/18V safe.

The effect sounds weak or noisy.

Check cables and power first. On a daisy chain, try isolating the pedal on a clean, regulated output. Placement in your signal chain also shapes the tone — try moving it earlier or later.

What's the warranty?

Limited lifetime coverage for defects in materials and workmanship. If service is ever needed, most repairs turn around in 7–10 business days.

Under the hood

Amp tremolo, no amp

A recreation of a no-longer-produced boutique favorite — and a favorite for good reason.

Master tone + dual-purpose boost

Go dark and swampy or shimmer above the mix; the boost offsets tremolo volume drop, or works as a straight amp boost with depth and speed at zero.

Set-and-forget ready

Pedal Board Mode: hold the footswitch while connecting power, and it engages itself on every power-up from then on.

From the bench

Every Dual Stage pedal gets built, tested and put through its paces on the same bench it was designed on — then backed by our limited lifetime warranty. If it ever quits on you, it comes home and we fix it.
